Cooperation
Horticoop BV is the name under which Coöperatief Koninklijk Tuinbouwcentrum Horticoop (Co-operative Royal Horticultural Centre Horticoop) has placed its horticulture-related activities. This concerns Horticoop BV, Lentse Potgrond BV, Slingerland Potgrond BV and Mardenkro BV.In addition, Alfora is part of the co-operative’s commercial activities. Alflora is a wholesale florist, with offices in The Netherlands and Belgium.
During a period of more than one hundred years, the co-operative has developed into a reliable trading partner in the vegetable and ornamental plant cultivation, and in floriculture. This achievement was rewarded with a Royal Warrant during the celebration of the 100th anniversary in 2004. The co-operative has more than three thousand members who all operate within the horticultural industry.
Annual report 2008
Using the theme of ‘cooperation’, which is the thread all through the 2008 annual report, the figures and results over 2008 were presented. After all, good cooperation is vital when two organizations amalgamate. This especially concerns the cooperation between people, individuals. Cooperation of colleagues, cooperation with suppliers and of course cooperation with customers: what do they expect from a new cooperation and what does Horticoop have to offer them. With regard to this, making use of each other’s strong points is the main challenge.
